This spring marks an exciting new chapter for Utah’s environmental future.
We recently welcomed Biochar Now to Utah for strategic meetings at HAVN, where leaders from Biochar Now, Natura Solve, and regional innovation partners came together to explore transformative projects focused on the Great Salt Lake, land remediation, and an upcoming initiative that will be formally announced on Earth Day 2026.
This collaboration brings together advanced biochar technology, microbial environmental solutions, indigenous ecological wisdom, and modern commercial systems designed to help restore land, water, and environmental health across Utah and beyond.
Why This Matters for Utah
Utah stands at the center of some of the most important environmental and land-use conversations in the country.
From the health of the Great Salt Lake to soil regeneration, water conservation, legacy land restoration, and redevelopment opportunities, the need for scalable, nature-based solutions has never been greater.
Together, Biochar Now and Natura Solve are exploring ways to combine:
- biochar technology for soil and water improvement
- microbial systems for remediation and ecological restoration
- land regeneration strategies for commercial and municipal use
- innovative infrastructure models for long-term sustainability
- community engagement and educational programming
The goal is simple: create practical, profitable, and scalable solutions that improve ecological outcomes while supporting economic growth.
Rooted in Indigenous Practices, Built for Modern Use
One of the most exciting aspects of this work is its foundation in ecological principles long practiced by indigenous communities.
These time-tested land and water stewardship methods are now being adapted and commercialized for modern applications in agriculture, municipalities, redevelopment, infrastructure, and environmental restoration.
This is where ancient wisdom meets modern clean technology.
By combining nature-based systems with scientific innovation, we are helping move the clean technology market forward in a way that is both environmentally restorative and economically viable.
Leadership Behind the Collaboration
This effort was made possible through the leadership and connections of several key partners.
